What is this interface used for?

The Building material interface is used to assess the human and ecotoxicological impacts of chemicals in building materials and furniture. There are 124 default products currently, including ceiling, wall, flooring, insulation, countertop, cabinet, door, sealant, furniture, etc. The human exposure pathways mainly include inhalation, dermal contact and dust ingestion by the building occupants, including adults and children. For the ecosystem, exposure occurs mainly through products that are disposed to landfill after product lifetime, whose chemical components volatilize to air and leach into the freshwater.
